In the name of god Amen The thirde daye of Marche … in the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord James by the grace of god kinge of England France and Ireland defender of the faith &c the Twelveth I George Paynter of Plungar in the Countye of Leicester husbandman beinge sicke in bodye but of good and perfect remembrance … praysed be unto god doe make & ordeyne this my Last will & testament in maner and forme followinge
First I comend my soule unto the hands of almightie god fully perswaded to be saved by the merits of Christ Jesus my only redeemer and my body to be buried in the Church or churchyard of Plungar
