This is the last Will & Testament of me Robert Shelton of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Farmer
I give to my Daughter Ruth the Bed and all the Furniture in my best Bed Room and a Legacy of Two hundred and thirty Pounds
I give to each of my other Daughters Frances, Sarah, Alice, Elizabeth and Ann a Legacy of One hundred and eighty Pounds
I direct my Executors to pay my Debts funeral and Testamentary Expenses and the above Legacies within Six months from my death and subject thereto I direct my Executors and Trustees to stand possessed of all my Money Securities for money farming Stock Furniture and all other my personal Estate and Effects in trust for my only Son William Shelton And I appoint my friends Stephen Miller of Gaudeloupe [sic] and Henry Clarke Black of Abb Kettleby Executors of this my Will for the purposes aforesaid
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 8th day of April One thousand eight hundred and sixty one

On the ninth day of April 1863 the Will of Robert Shelton late of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Farmer was proved by the Oaths of Stephen Miller and Henry Clarke Black the Executors named in the said Will they having been first sworn duly to administer
Sworn under £1500 and that the Testator died on the twenty seventh day of January 1863
