Frances Stokes of Hose 1660 Will

In the name of God Amen I Frances Stoakes of Hose in the County of Leicester widdow being weake in body but of perfect memory (praised be God) doe ordaine and make this my will and testament in manner and forme following
Imprimis I commit my soule to Almighty God my Maker and Redemer and my body to be buried in the Churchyard of Hose aforesaid
Ite I give unto my Sonne George Stoakes and Mary his wife twenty shillings
To my Sonne Richard Julian and Anne his wife twelve peece [sic] and to their two daughters three pounds to bee equally divided between them
To my Sonne John Senescall and Elizabeth his wife twelve pence and to their two children forty shillings to bee equally divided betwixt them
To my Soone John Dixon and Frances his wife twelve pence and to their five children foure pounds to bee equally divided amongst them
To my Sonne William Stoakes five pounds
To my Sonne John Stoakes his two children five pounds to be equally divided betwixt them
To my Sonne John Thoroton and Mary his wife twelve pence and to their nine children ten pounds to bee equally divided amongst them
To William Nicholsons foure children thirty shillings to bee equally divided amongst them
To John Trinsleyes children of Harby ten shillings
To the poore of Hose twenty shillings
To George … and Elizabeth his sister two shillings
To Thomas … [same surname as last mentioned George] my godsonne ten shillings
To Henry Deane and Richard Deane to each of them twenty shillings
All which above said summes my will is shalbe paid within one yeare and a halfe next after my decease
Ite I give unto Roger Stoakes the Sonne of George Stoakes my Sonne the summe of five pounds to be paid at the end of his Apprenticeshippp
Ite I give unto Frances Stoakes daughter of John Stoakes my Sonne my beadstead and fether bed
I give unto Elizabeth wife of John Stoakes my Sonne twenty shillings
It I make Gregory Julian and Richard Julian of Hose in the County of Leicester yeoman supvisors of this my will and Testament to whom I give forty shillings to bee equally divided betwixt them
All the rest of my goods debts cattells and Chattells whatsoever unbequeathed I give unto my Sonne John Stoakes of Hose aforesaid whom I make mine executor my debts and Legacies being first paid and my funerall expences discharged
In Witnes whereof I have hereunto sett mine hand and seale the day and yeare first above written
