This is the last Will and Testament of me John Stokes of Hose in the County of Leicester Cottager made in manner and form following that is to say
I give devise and bequeath unto my Son John his heirs executors administrators and assigns All my real and personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever subject to the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and the several Legacies by me hereinafter given and bequeathed and also subject to the maintenance of my Wife or an Annuity to her as hereinafter mentioned
I give and bequeath unto my three Sons Matthew Reuben and Christopher the sum of Nineteen pounds nineteen shillings each to be paid to them by my Executor hereinafter named at the expiration of twelve Calendar months after the death of me and my said Wife and in case my said Wife shall cease to live with my said Son John Then I give to her an annuity of Four shillings per weeks to be paid to her by my aid Son John weekly during her natural life
And I appoint my said Son John Executor of this my Will
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this tenth day of March in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty two

Proved at Leicester the Twenty fifth day of January 1873 by the Oath of John Stokes Son of the deceased the Sole Executor to whom Administration was granted
The Testator John Stokes was late of Hose in the County of Leicester Cottager and died on the seventeenth day of January 1872 [sic] at Hose aforesaid
