In the Name of God Amen the fifteenth Day of March 1754 I Thomas Hill of Grimston Blacksmith in the County of Leicester being weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for it do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following
First I Bequeath my Soul into the Hands of almighty God my maker hoping to receive free pardon of all my Sins and forgiveness and as for my Body to be Buried in a Decent and Christian manner at the Discretion of my Executrix hereafter Nominated
Imprimis I Give to my Son Robert Hill the Sum of one Shilling
Item I Give to my Son Thomas Hill the Sum of one Shilling
Item all the Rest of my Goods and Chattels and personable Estate I Give to Dorothy my Wife and possession of the house we now Live in with the Cottage and Home Close
And my mind and will is that my Son Thomas Hill shall have the Half yard Land and what Common belongeth to it and the House he lives in and the out Buildings
And I Do make Dorothy my Wife my Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament upon Condition that she shall pay all my Debts and Legacies and Burial Charges Revoking all other Wills and Testaments
