William Brown of Nether Broughton 1720 Will and Inventory

For as much as it is opointed for all men once to Die Upon the thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and twenty I William Brown senor of Neather Broughton in the County of Licestar Yeoman being Aged and Considering the uncertainty of Human Life Doth make and ordain this my Last will and Testament in maner and form as followeth
First I give and be Queath my soul To God that gave it and my body to the Earth and for theese worldly goods which it Hath Please God to Bestow upon mee I give and be Queathe as followeth
Itm I give unto my Daughter Dorothy Hope the sume of five shillings
Itm I give unto my Daughter Eliz. Godderd The sume of five shillings
I give unto my daughter Jane Simson five shillings
I give unto my daughter Ann Vokes five shillings
I give unto my daughter Mary Barsby five shillings
I give unto the Poor of my Parish aforesayd twenty shillings
Itm I give unto my son George Browne the House whear in I now dwell with all the Apurtances thear unto belonging
I give unto my son George Browne also all my goods and Cathell To him and his heirs for Ever
And I doe Hear by make him my son George Brown my sole Excecter hee paying all my debts Legacys And funeral Charges of this my Last will and Testament Revocking all former wills heartofore made by mee
In wittness where of I have sett my Hand and Seall Hear unto the Day and year above written
