Robert Draper of Holwell 1714 Will

In the Name of God Amen I Robert Draper of Hollwell in the County of Leicester yeoman this fifth day of June Anno Dni 1711 Doe make this my Last will and Testament in Manner following
First & principally I Comend my soule into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my Body to the Earth to be decently Buried and as touching the temporall Estate it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I Give and dispose thereof as followeth
Imprimis I Give to my Grandson John Draper and his heirs forever All that my house and homestead with the appurtts in Hollwell aforesaid and the sume of five pounds with the forty shillings I gave him before to be included in the sd five pounds as part thereof alsoe two Greate Tables in the house and the Cupboard and one Great Brasse pan one Bedstead in the Chamber and one Chest also my mind & will is that my Daughter in Law Dorothy Draper shall have Liberty to Dwell in my sd house soe long as my sd Daughter in Law shall keepe herself a widdow and my Grandson John Draper can agree to Dwell together But if they Cannot agree to Live together and my sd Grandson thinks meet to Dwell in my sd house that then she shall have Liberty to put up a Chimney either in the Barne or Little house and there to Inhabit soe long as she remains a widdow
Item I Give to my sd Daughter in Law Dorothy Draper the sume of five pounds
Item I Give to my Grandson Robert Draper All that my Cottage house with the appurtts in Melton in the sd County of Leisester and to his heirs forever alsoe one Greate Chest in the parlour
Item I Give to my Grandson James Draper the sume of twenty pounds alsoe one Brasse pott
Item I Give to my Grand daughter the sume of twenty pounds and one Little table (vizt) Elizabeth Draper daughter to my son John Draper deced
Item I Give to my Daughter Anne Walker the sume of Five pounds
Item I Give to my Grand daughter Mary Walker the Sume of fifteene pounds
Item I Give to my Kinswoman Joyse Bell of Stathorne twenty shillings
Item I Give to my Kinswoman Mary Lister twenty shillings
Item my mind is that my said Legacies here Given and bequeathed be placed at interest for the use of my Grand Children imedately or within one month after my Desease for and until they attain the age of one and twenty years
Also my mind and will is that if any my Grand Children happen to dye before the age of one and twenty yeares (that is to say) John Draper Robert Draper James Draper and Elizabeth Draper or any of them then the portion of such of them that shall soe happen to Dye shall be equally Divided amongst such of them as shall be then Living
Item my mind and will is that if any of my moneys that is plased att Interest Be Lost and Cannot be Recovered that then all and every person herein above Named shall abate an equall share and proporcon of their severall Legacies as shall make up that sume or sumes of money that shall soe happen to be Lost and unrecovered to be equall
Item I Give to my Grandson John Walker one Table that is at Jonathan Caunts and one Bedstead the Fire Iron & Frogs and Warming pan and the three Blanketts and Coverlid that Lyes on my Bed and a wool Bed and one Boulster and one pillow
Item I give to my Grandson Robert Walker one shilling
And Lastly I Give to my Trusty Friend Sr John Kirke of Hollwell all the Rest of my Personall estate Goods Cattell and Chattells undisposed of He paying my Debts Legacies & Funerall Charges whom I make Sole Executor of this my Last will & Testament hereby Revokeing all other wills by me heretofore made
