In the Name of God Amen I John Fann of Scalford in the Countye of Leister being weake in body but of perfect memory & understanding (praised bee God therefore) doe make & ordaine this my last will & testament in maner & forme following
First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God hoping to bee saved by the merits of his son
My body I bequeath unto the earth decently to bee interred hoping for a joyfull resurrection
And for my worldly estate I dispose of it as followeth
First I give unto my Eldest Son John Fann the house wherein I dwell with the closse homestead comons comon of pasture & all other appurtenances all wch were given to mee by my fathter to him & his heires for ever
Also I give unto my second son Willm Fann That house wherein Willm Daft the younger now dwelleth together with the one moyety or halfe part of the closse that I purchased of Mr Freeman with all comons comon of pasture & all other appurtenances to him & his heires for ever
Also I give unto my third son Austin Fann That other house wherein Willm Daft thelder now liveth together with the other moyety or half part of the close that I bought of Mr Freeman with the comons comon of pasture & all other appurtenances to him & his heires for ever
All the rest of my estate goods cattle bills bonds debts dues & demands whatever I give & bequeath unto my loving wife Martha Fann whom I make sole Executrix of this my last will & testament made Novem: 13 in the yeare of our Ld xt 1669
