In the name of God Amen etc I Thomas Dewicke of Saxilbye in the Countie of Leicester Blacksmith beinge sicke in bodie but whole in minde of good and perfect remembranc (thanckes be to god) doe make constitute and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and fourme followinge
First I bequeath my soule to Almightie God trusting to be saved by the meritts death and passion of our Lord and Saviour Jesus christ And my Bodie to be buried in the Churchyard of Saxilby
Item I give and bequeath to my son William xiid
Ite to my daughter Agnes Stafford xiid
Ite to Alice Gunn xiid
Ite to Mary Kitchen xiid
Item to Jone Harte xiid
Item to Jone my wiffe and Elizabeth my daughter, (all these legacies herein mencioned being discharged) I give and bequeath all my goodes equally to be devided betwixt them
Ite I give to John Bealye whome I doe [“nominate” or similar word missing] my executour (all his charges being borne) iiis iiiid
And I desire Robert Dewick of Welby to be overseer of this my last will and testament
In wittnes hereof I have setto my hand the daye and yeare first above written
