This is the Last Will and Testament of me Wallace Rouse of Hose Lodge Colston Bassett in the County of Leicester Farmer

I appoint my son Frederick William Wallace Rouse and my Son in law Joseph Henry Lincoln of Grantham in the County of Lincoln Plumber (hereinafter called “my Trustees”) to be Executors and Trustees of this my Will

I Give to my daughter Violet Sarah Rouse the sum of Fifty Pounds free of legacy duty

I Give Devise and Bequeath (Subject to the directions hereinafter contained with respect to my farm) All my property not hereby otherwise disposed of Unto my Trustees In Trust to convert into money the same and after payment thereout of my debts and funeral and testamentary expenses and the legacies bequeathed by this my Will or any Codicil thereto to invest the proceeds in any investments authorised by law for Trust Funds with power to vary such investments at their discretion and to pay the income of the proceeds to my Wife Lydia Rouse during her life if she shall so long remain my Widow and after her death or re-marriage In trust for my said son Frederick William Wallace Rouse absolutely

And with respect to my business as a Farmer now carried on by me at Hose Lodge Colston Bassett aforesaid I empower my Trustees to continue the same during the life or Widowhood of my said Wife with liberty for my Trustees to employ therein the whole or any part of the capital which shall be employed therein at my decease and also such further part of any of my estate as they shall think proper with liberty also to employ servants agents or others and generally to act and conduct the said business as they shall in their absolute discretion think fit without being answerable for any loss arising thereby

And I Hereby Revoke all former Wills and testamentary dispositions made by me and declare this to be my last Will and Testament
