The 3 day of December 1669
In the name of God Amen I Thomas Blankeley the elder of Plunger in the County of Leicester yeoman being weake in body but of perfect memory (praised bee God) doe make and ordeine this my Last will and testament
Imprimis I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator and Redeemer and my body to bee decently buried in the Churchyard of Plunger aforesaid
Imprimis I give unto my brother Nicholas Blankeley of Plunger the summe of Tenn pounds to bee paid by Thomas Blankeley my kinsman within sixe moneths after hee doth enioy my land
Ite I give unto my kinsman Thomas Blankeley of Statherne in the County of Leic singleman and to his heires and assignes for ever all my houses Cottages Lands Tenements and heireditaments whatsoever and wheresoever to enter on the same immediately after the death of Elizabeth my wife hee payeing out of my Late bought Land the summe of Tenn pounds as aforesaid
Ite I give unto the poore of Plunger aforesaid three shillings foure pence
Lastly I give unto my wife Elizabeth all my houses lands tenements and hereditaments with their appurtenances whatsoever for and dureing her naturall life of her the said Elizabeth and all my goods cattells and chattells whatsoever whom I make my full executrix of this my last will and testament shee payeing all my debts and legacies (ten pounds abovesaid excepted) and dischargeing all my funerall expences
In Witnes whereof I the said Thomas Blankeley to these presents have sett mine hand and seale the day and yeare first above written
