In the Name of God Amen I Christopher Clarkson Clerk Rector of Stathern in Leicestershire being of sound mind & perfect memory certain that I must die but uncertain when do leave this as my last will & Testament in Case no other be found
In the first place I recomend my Soul into the Hands of its Creator humbly hoping that all my Sins will be forgiven for the sake of my Redeemer Upon my sincere Repentance charitably hoping likewise that the offences of all sincere … will be on the same Terms pardon’d provided they believe in Xt & live well whatever smaller Differences as to some true … may happen to remain amongst Them
As to what Money is found by me or due to me when I die, My Books, Household Furniture, Wearing Apparel, Horses, Cows, Sheep &c I leave to my Brother Anthony Clarkson of Richmond Yorkshire & my Sister Jane Hallon of Shaw in the Bishop … to be divided equally betwixt them
All my mss papers I leave to The Revd Mr Turville Vicar of Long Clawton, My Mahogany Tea Table & Set of China to Mrs Turville, My Gray Mare to Mr Hubbard of Harby & my little black Mare to Job Charlton Esq … for his Daughters & I do constitute & appoint my said Brother & Sister above mentioned Executors of my will
