In the name of god Amen this 13th daye of March in the yeares of the Raigne of our Soveraigne lorde James by the grace of god of Englande France and Ireland Kinge defender of the true faithe &c the eighteenth of Scotland the fiftie & foure 1620 I Edwarde Dalbye of Claxton als Long Clauston in the countie of Leceister, laborer, beeinge sicke of bodye, but of good & perfect memorye (prased bee god) doe make & ordayne this my last will & testament in manner followeinge
Imprimis I give my soule to god that gave it, and my bodye to bee buried in the church yarde of Claxton aforesaide
Itim I give unto every one of my sonnes & daughters, both naturall & sonnes & daughters in lawe iiiid a peece
As first I give unto Robert Dalbye iiiid
Itim I give unto John Hubberde iiiid
Itim I give unto John Dalbye iiiid
Itim I give unto my sonne in law Edwarde Hubberde iiiid
Itim I give unto my sonne Richard iiiid
Itim I give unto my sonne Edward Dalbye, my naturall sonne & heire, betwixt mee & my wife that nowe is iiiid
Itim I give unto my daughter in lawe Amey Hubberde iiiid
Itim I give unto my daughter Marye Dalby iiiid
The rest of all my goodes unbequeaved I give & bequeave unto my loveinge wife Emmatt Dalbye, whome I make sole & full executrixe of this my last will & testament, to see my bode brought honestly to the grounde, and my debts & legacies payed: Desireing her to amende everye one of mye Childrens portions att her discretion
Lastly I make & ordayne Thomas Storer thelder overseer of this my last will & testament
