This is the last Will and Testament of me Joseph Dalby of the Parish of Abb Kettleby in the County of Leicester
I give devise and bequeath all the property in my possession and of which I die possessed to my Wife Ann Dalby to be held by her during her lifetime and after the decease of the said Ann Dalby I give devise and bequeath the implements tools and everything of every kind belonging to the shop in which I carry on the Trade of Blacksmith with the goodwill of the Trade to my second son Thomas Dalby and to my Grandson George Dalby to be divided equally between them, and in the event of my Grandson George Dalby wishing to leave the Blacksmith’s Shop at Abb Kettleby, that the said property of the Blacksmith’s shop should be valued and his due share given to the said George Dalby in money
I further give devise and bequeath after the decease of my Wife Ann Dalby the sum of £50 of thereabouts in the Leicestershire Bank and the furniture of my house to be divided equally amongst my Sons and Daughters and my Grandson the said George Dalby
And I hereby appoint Mr Richard Hickling Freckingham the sole Executor of this my Will
And lastly I the said Joseph Dalby do declare this to be my last Will and Testament whereof I have hereunto set and subscribed my name this Thirtieth day of April One thousand Eight hundred and Eighty eight

Signed and declared by the said Testator Joseph Dalby as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in the presence of each other all present at the same time have subscribed their names as Witnesses

Proved at Leicester on the seventh day of May 1890 by the Oath of Richard Hickling Freckingham the sole Executor to whom Administration was granted
The Testator Joseph Dalby was late of Abb Kettleby in the County of Leicester Blacksmith and died on the twenty eighth day of April 1889 at Abb Kettleby aforesaid
