Richard Dixon of Long Clawson 1826 Will

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Richard Dixon of Claxton otherwise Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Grazier and Shopkeeper
In the first place I direct all my just debts and my funeral and testamentary Expences to be paid and satisfied and I charge all my real and personal Estate with the payment thereof
I give and devise all and every my Messuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements Hereditaments and real Estate situate standing lying and being in Claxton otherwise Long Clawson aforesaid or elsewhere with their and every of their Appurtenances unto my dear wife Elizabeth Dixon for and during the Term of her Life if she shall so long continue my Widow but not otherwise and from and immediately after the death or second Marriage of my said wife I give and devise the said Messuages Cottages closes Lands Tenements Hereditaments and real Estate with the Appurtenances unto my two youngest sons Richard Dixon and James Dixon their Heirs and Assigns for ever equally to be divided between them share and share alike as tenants in common and not as joint Tenants
I give and bequeath unto my said wife the use of all my Goods Stock money Chattels and personal Estate and Effects for her Life if she so long continue my Widow but not otherwise and from and after her decease or marriage I give and bequeath the said Goods Stock money Chattels and personal Estate and Effects unto my said two youngest sons Richard and James Dixon their Executors Administrators and Assigns for every equally to be divided between them as Tenants in common
And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Elizabeth Dixon and my son James Dixon joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made
In Witness whereof I the said Richard Dixon the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and two

Let a Probate be made to Elizabeth Dixon of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Widow and James Dixon of Grooby in the said County Farmer and Grazier the joint Executors named in the will of the deceased who died in the month of April last
They having been duly sworn as well to the faithful execution of the Will as that the testator’s Goods Chattels and Credits without deducting any debts owing by him therefrom did not amount in value to the Sum of One hundred Pounds
