Edmund Hourd of Eastwell 1706 Will and Inventory

In the name of God Amen I Edmund Hourd of Eastwell in the County of Leicester, being Weake in body but in good and perfect sence and memory praysed be God, doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner followinge
And first I beg of my Lord Jesus Christ by his Most bitter passion to pardon mee my sines and to received my Soule in his mercy to Eternall joy And I bequeath my body to the Earth to be Buried in decent and Christian Buriall and as for my Worldly Estate which God in his Mercy hath given mee, I give devise and bequeath in manner and forme as followeth (that is to Say)
First I give and bequeath to the pore of Eastwell 10s to be paid at my buriall by my Executor or Executricks hereafter mentioned
Item I give that Trunk marked with V and E and dated 1652 and one oake boxe and all that is in the to my Son Thomas Hourd at my decease
Item I give & bequeath to Ursula Martin daughter of my Nephew Francis Martin the sum of ten pounds of currt English Money to be put out at Interest for her use till such time as she shall be married or attain the age of one & twenty years and then the sd sum of ten pounds to be pd by my nephew Francis Martin herein after named
Item I give & bequeath the sum of thirteen pounds ten shillings to Frances Martin another daughter of my sd Nephew Francis Martin to be pd to her at her age of one & twenty years or day of marriage which shall first happen And in the meantime the Interest & product thereof to be yearly pd towards her maintenance & Education Which sd sums of ten pounds & thirteen pounds ten Shillings are in the hands of my sd Nephew Francis Martin and due & owing to me And my mind & will is that the said Legacies so given to the sd Ursula Francis Martin shall be pd by & out of the sd debt so due to me from my sd Nephew Francis Martin and not out of any other part or share of my personal Estate
Item I give and appoint the sum of ten pounds to my nephew Richard Hourd of Hose and my Sister Dorothy Hourd his Mother to be bestowed upon my Burial in a decent & orderly manner
Item All my Goods cattle Chattles & personal Estate whatsoever (my debts legacies & funeral Expences being first paid) I give & bequeath to my said Sister Dorothy Hourd & to my said nephew Richard Hourd whom I make Sole Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made and declaring this to be my Last
In Witnes whereof I have hereto set my hand & Seal this sixth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and six
