In the name of god Amen I John Hubbert of Claxton Alis Longe Clauson in the county of Leic: beinge weake in Body but of sound and perfect mind and Memory praise be therefore Given to Allmighty God doe make and ordaine this my present last will and Testament in Manner and forme followinge (That is to say)
First and principally I commend my Soule to Allmighty God hopeinge through the Merrits death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgivenesse of all my sinns and to Inherrit everlasting life and my Body I committ to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named and as Touchinge the disposition of all such Temporall estate as it has pleased Allmighty God to bestow upon mee I Give and Dispose thereof as followeth
Imprimis I will that my debts and funirall Charges shall be paid and discharged
Item I Give unto my soone Robert Hubbert and his wife Twelve penc a piece
Item my will is that my loveinge wife Elizabeth Hubbert shall have her habitation in my house dureinge her life
Item I Give unto my wife our Cow paster dureinge here life
Item I Give unto her the Lower bed and one paire of hempen sheets and three pillowes and two blankets and one Coverlid and an old Tick with the fethers in it, further my will is that shee shall have the third part of the Goods to make use on dureinge her life
All the Rest and Resedue of my personall Estate Goods and Chattels whatsoever I doe give and bequeath unto my Loving daughter Mary Hubbert whom I doe make full and Sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament and I desire that my Body may be buried in the Church yeard of Claxton aforesaid and I doe hereby Revoke dissanull and make voyd all former wills and Testaments by mee heretofore made
In witnesse whereof I the said John Hubbert to this my last Will and Testament have set my hand & seale the Nineteenth day of October in the yeare of our Lord God one Thousand six hundred Eighty and one
