In the Name of God Amen John Brex of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Frame work knitter being of a well disposing mind memory and understanding praised be Almighty God for the same Do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner as follows
First I Give and bequeath to Ann Hopkin the Sum of five pounds
Also I Give and bequeath to Elizabeth Halle the Sum of five pounds
Also I Give and bequeath to Mary Perry the Sum of five pounds
Also I Give and bequeath to Eleanor Brex the Sum of five pounds
Also I Give and bequeath to Lucy Haywood the Sum of five pounds
Also I Give and bequeath to Rose Brex the Sum of five pounds
My Mind and Will is this that the aforesaid Legacys shall be justly and truly paid by my Executor and Executrixes of good and lawfull Money of Great Britain now hereinafter named
I next Give and Devise to William Brex all my Messuage Cottage and Tenement Lands and Premises to hold unto him and his Heirs forever
And Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Son William Brex my Daughter Sarah Brex and wife Elizabeth Brex joint Executor and Executrix of this my last Will and Testament they paying all the above Legacies just Debts and Funeral Expences
In Witness whereof I the said John Brex have to this my last Will and Testament as Testator of the same have hereunto set my hand and Seal this twenty ninth day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety six

Signed Sealed published and Declared by the said John Brex as Testator as and for his last Will and Testament and at the request of the said Testator in the presence of each other

Let a probat be made to William Brex the Executor within named with power of making the like grant to Sarah Brex Spinster & Elizabeth Brex Widow the Executrixes when they or either of them shall apply for the same
He being duly sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the will as that the Testators goods Chattels and Credits do not amount in Value to the sum of One hundred pounds
