This is the last Will and Testament of me William Brex of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Widower
I will and direct that all my just debts funeral expenses and the expenses of proving this my Will be paid out of my estate as soon as may be after my decease
I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Pick wife of Thomas Pick of Nether Broughton aforesaid and to her children all my household goods chattels and effects whatsoever
I give the following legacies
To Thomas Pick who married my half-sister Elizabeth one hundred pound
To his Wife Elizabeth one hundred pounds
To each of the children of Thomas and Elizabeth Pick nineteen pounds nineteen shillings
To my friends John Wilford farmer of Nether Broughton and Henry Grice farmer of Nether Broughton five pounds each
To Mary Washburne widow of Melton Mowbray ten pounds
And to Henry Thomas Carter my son in law ten pounds
And if there be any surplus I direct that it may be equally divided between the children of Thomas and Elizabeth Pick aforesaid
And I appoint John Noble Rector of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Executor and Trustee of this my Will
In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this sixth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventy one

Proved at Leicester the Twelfth day of September 1871 by the Oath of The Reverend John Noble Clerk the sole Executor to whom Administration was granted
The Testator William Brecks otherwise Brex was late of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester and died on the seventh day of August 1871 at Nether Broughton aforesaid
