In the name of god Amen November the ii Anno Dom 1697 I Mary Burton of Grimston in the Parish of Rothley in the County of Leic maiden being Sick and weakly of bodie but of good and perfict memorie praysed be the Lord for the same doe ordaine and make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following
First I bequeath my sole to Allmighty god my Creator hopeing and verely assuring my sealfe through god his mercies and Crist his merits to be parteaker of Life everlastinge and my bodie I bequeath to the earth frome whence it was taken to be buried in Christian buriall at the discretion of my Exector in the Church yard of Grimston as aforesaid and for my worldly goods wich it hath pleased the Lord to lend me I doe despose of them in maner and forme following
First I give to my Lovinge cozen Mary Simson the sume of five pounds to be paid at 2 years after my desease
Itam I give to my Loving Sister Ann Simson all my housld stuf and bested and beding
Lastly I give to my Loving brother Richard Burton whom I make Exector All the reast of my goods undesposed hee paying my legacies as I have bequeathed them and feinerall Charges and thus I make my last will and Teastement
