Memorandum That upon or about the twelft day of December in the yeare of our Lord God according to the computation of the Church of England one thousand six hundred eighty & two John Corner of Holwell in the County of Leicester Sheapheard being sick in body but of good and perfect memory did make and declare his last will and testament nuncupative or by word of mouth in effect as followeth
First he gave unto his wife Alce Corner this old finchd Cow and the calfe that came of hir he gave hir also that his ewe which she had reared of a cade, he gave hir also the third part of his fatted hodge, and the third part of all his househould goods
Also he gave five pounds to Charles Corner his sonne to put him to an apprentice and when he came forth of his apprentishipp he gave him three pounds more
Also he gave to Mary Corner his daughter forty shillings to be paid at twenty and foure yeares of age
And his will further was that his said daughter Mary should have one Moity or halfe part of the remaining househould goods after his wife had received hir third part
All the rest of his goods cattells and chattells he gave unto George Corner his eldest sonne whom he appointed to be the executor of his last will & testament his legacies first to be paid his debts and funerall expences discharged
All which words or the like in effect he declared in the presence of his wife and his three children to wit George Charles & Mary And with which they all were then and still are very well pleased
