Let Administration of All and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of Stephen Daft late of the parish of All Saints Leonards [Leonards was inserted] in the Leicester in the County and Archdeaconry of Leicester Baker a Widower deceased be granted and committed under Seal to Joseph Daft of the same place Baker the natural and lawful Son and one of the next of kin of the said deceased who died on or about the 25th December 1835
He being duly sworn before the undersigned Surrogate as well to the faithful Administration of all and singular the said Goods Chattels and Credits as that the same without deducting any debts owing by the said deceased therefrom do not amount in value to the Sum of Twenty pounds and that the deceased died on or about the twenty fifth day of December 1835
Bond, bounden Joseph Daft of Leicester baker and William Sculthorpe of Leicester gentleman for £100 26th May 1838, condition bound Joseph Daft lawful son and next of kin and administrator of Stephen Daft late of All Saints [sic] Leicester baker widower deceased to produce an inventory and administer estate
