In the Name of God Amen I William Daft of Broughton Sullney in the County of Nottingham frame work knitter being of sound and disposing mind and memory thanks to Allmighty God for the same do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in the manner following that is to say
First I Will and Direct that my Body shall be Buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named
And as touching my Worldly Effects wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life I Give dispose of in the following manner
Item first I Give and bequeath to my Son in law John Morley and Mary his Wife all my Goods and Chattels of what nature or kind the same may be or consist of at the time of my decease
And Lastly I do hereby nominate and Appoint my Son in law John Morley to be my Executor of all my effects Goods Money whatsoever or wheresoever to … the same wheresoever it may be found making him my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I the said William Daft have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this thirty first day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty five

This Will was Proved at London the seventh day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty five before the Right Worshipful Peter Calvert Doctor of Laws master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of John Morley the sole Executor named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the sd deceased he having been first sworn by Commission duly to administer
