John Dunsmore of Scalford 1747 Will and Inventory

In the name of God Amen I John Dunsmore of Scalford in the County of Leicester farmer being Sick and Weak in Body But of Sound Mind and Memory and Considering the Uncertainty of this life Doe make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)
First of all I give my Soul to God that gave it me And my Body I Commit to the Earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executrix herein after named
And as for my Worldly Estate which hath pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose thereof as follows
In the first place I doe hereby nominate and Appoint Thomas Willburn of Thorpe Arnold in the County of Leicester Grazier Joel Shuttlewood of Goadby Marwood in the Said County of Leicester and my Brother William Dunsmore of Scalford aforesaid farmers Trustees and Guardians of this my last Will and Testament desiring them to See the just and true performance thereof
And Also I give and bequeath unto my Eldest Son John Dunsmore the Sume of Five Shillings to be paid him within Twelve Months next after my deceased by my Executrix hereinafter named
And Also I give and bequeath unto my Niece Elizabeth Rowe the Sum of five pounds to be paid her within Twelve Months next after my decease by my Said Executrix
And Also I give and bequeath unto my Sister Mary Dunsmore the weekly Sume of Three Shillings to be paid her by my Said Executrix Weekly and every Week during the Term of her Natural life And for the Just payment Whereof I doe hereby charge my Real and personal Estate in Aid thereof
And Also I give and bequeath unto my youngest Son Joel Dunsmore the Sum of one Hundred and Fifty pounds to be paid him When he Attains the Age of Twenty one Years, But my Mind and Will is that his Said Legacy of One Hundred and fifty pounds shall be placed out at Interest upon Mortgage or otherwise by the Said Thomas Willburn Joel Shuttlewood and William Dunsmore And the Interest thereof Shall Annually be paid unto my Loving Wife Alice Dunsmore untill he Attains his Said Age of Twenty one Years for the better Maintaining him in his Maintenance and Education, But if my Said Wife Alice Dunsmore Shall att any time after my decease Intermarry with any other person then and in Such Case I order and direct the Said Thomas Willburn Joel Shuttlewood and William Dunsmore and the Survivors or Survivor of them to retain and keep the Interest of the Said Sume of one Hundred and fifty pounds so given to my Said Son Joel Dunsmore And I desire and do hereby direct them to pay and Apply the Same for his Maintenance and Education, So that my Said Son Joel Dunsmore shall and may receive the said Sume of one Hundred and fifty pounds When he Attaines his said Age of Twenty one Years without any deduction whatsoever
And Lastly all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Cattle Chattells and personal Estate of what kind or nature soever (my Debts Legacies and Funeral Expences being first paid and Discharged) I give and bequeath unto my Said Loving Wife Alice Dunsmore Whom I doe hereby Appoint full and Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament revoking all former Wills by me att any time heretofore made
In Witness Whereof I the Said John Dunsmore the Testator have hereunto Sett my hand and Seale this Twenty third day of December in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Six
