In the name of God Amen, I Thomas George of Eaton in the County of Leicester husbandman, beinge weake of Body but whole in minde and of good & perfect remembrance (praise and thankes be given to god) I doe make and Ordaine this my last Will and Testament, in manner and forme as followeth
First I bequeath my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Maker, faithfully trustinge to be saved by the merits death and Passion of Jesus Christ my Redeemer and by none other means and my Body to the Earth from whence it Came, and to be buried in the Church or Church yard of Eaton aforesaide
Item I give to the repairing of the Church of Eaton Three Shillings foure pence
Item I doe give to the poore of Eaton Ten Shillings
Item I give & bequeath unto Thomas George my Grandchilde and to his heires my Cottage house which I purchased of Thomas Spreckly with all and Singular the appurtenances deedes & evidences thereunto belonging, and allsoe Ten pounds in money to be paide unto him when hee shall accomplish the age of One and Twenty yeares
Item I doe give unto Henry George my Grandchild Twenty pounds in Money, to be payde unto him when hee shall likewise accomplish the age of One and Twenty yeares
Item I give unto Anne George my Grandchild, Ten pounds In money to be payde unto her when shee shall attaine unto the age of foure and Twenty yeares
Item I give unto Thomas Derry of Waltham my Grandchild five pounds in money allsoe, and to be payd unto him at the age of One and Twenty yeares
Item I give unto Ingle the wife of Thomas Coy of Sproxton Ten Shillings
All the rest of my goods Cattles & Chattles, unbequeathed and not given, I doe give and bequeath unto Robert George, my Deare and natural Son, whom I doe make the Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament
In wittnesse hereunto I have set my hand & seale, the Twenty ninth day of September Anno Domini 1666 in the presence of these wittnesses
