Edward Guy of Long Clawson 1677 Will and Inventory

Be it remembered That on the third day of June in the eight and Twentieth year of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King Defender of the faith &c Anno Dom 1676 Edward Guy late whilst he lived of Claxton als Long Clawson in the Countie of Leicest: Labourer being then sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memorie and with an intent to make and declare his last Will and Testament nuncupative or by word of mouth uttered and declared these words following or words to the same effect Viz
First he give and bequeath unto his wife Elizabeth Guy all his Goods moveable and immovable quick and dead paying all his debts and discharging his funerall expences
And secondly he did nominate and appoint her the aforesaid Elizabeth his wife to be the Sole Executrix of this his will nuncupative which premises the said Edward Guy did declare in the presence and hearing of divers credible witnesses whose names are hereunto sett Viz
