Bond, bound Thomas Hill blacksmith of Grimston, William Watchorn farmer of Caudwell [Chadwell] and Jasper Simpson farmer of Saxelby £1,000 31 July 1756. Robert Hill farmer of Holwell died intestate leave four minor sons and a minor daughter of whom Elizabeth Hill his daughter and Thomas Hill his eldest son chose bound Thomas Hill, William Watchorn and Jasper Simpson to be their guardians during their minorities. Condition of bond, bound persons to administer estate for the benefit of the minors and produce inventory

The 31st Day of July 1756 Appeared Personally and Voluntarily the within named Elizabeth Hill and Thomas Hill both Minors under the Age of Twenty one years to wit the said Elizabeth of the Age of Seventeen years and upwards And the said Thomas of the Age of Sixteen Years and upwards, and spontaneously Chose and Elected the within bound Thomas Hill William Watchorn and Jasper Simpson to be their Guardians and Curators of Suits during their respective Minoritys, And Prayed that the said Thomas Hill William Watchorn and Jasper Simpson might be Admitted Guardians and Curators of Suites to them the said Minors in Order to entitle them the said Thomas Hill William Watchorn and Jasper Simpson to take Administration of the said Deceased’s Personal Estate for the use benefit and Advantage of the said Minors above mentioned (during their respective Minoritys) and the rest of the Children of the said Deceased which the said Surrogate Decreed accordingly, Then the said Thomas Hill William Watchorn and Jasper Simpson were Sworn Administrators of all and Singular the Goods Chattles and Creditts of the said Deceased for the use benefit and advantage of all the Children of the said Robert Hill Deceased during their respective Minoritys Before me Gerr: Andrews Surrogt:
