In the name of god Amen I Dorothy Hilton of Scalford in the county of Leicester widow being Sick and weake in Body but of sound & perfect memory do make & ordain this my last will & Testamt in manner following
Imprimis I give and Bequeath to my Two Brothers (vizt) Thomas Doubleday of Claxton als Long Clawson in the sd County of Leic Wheelwright And John Doubleday of Scalford aforesd Blacksmith their Exors Adtors & assigns All my houshold Goods Quick Stock Booke Debts Money out att Interest rights Creditts & personal Estate of what kind soever & in whose hands or custody soever the same shall or may be found upon Special Trust and confidence and to the End Intent & purpose that my said Brothers Doe & Shall as soon as conveniently may be after my decease Sell & dispose of such part and parcells of my sd personal Estate as they shall thinke fit And Allsoe collect & gather all & every such sume & sums of money whatsoever which shall be due & oweing to me att the time of my decease from any person or persons upon any account whatsoever
And by & out of the moneys so raised as aforesd in the first place pay of all my Debts my Funeral Expences and all other necessary charges about this my last will & Testamt And Allsoe as to the overplus my will & mind is the same shall be placed out att Interest by my sd Two Brothers untill my onely Daughter Elizabeth Shall Attain her age of one & Twenty years or be married which shall first happen and then the same shall be paid to my sd Daughter Elizabeth
But in case my sd Daughter Elizabeth shall happen to depart this life before she shall attain her sd age of one and Twenty years or be married Then I Give & bequeath out of the overplus money as aforesd To Anne Julian & Joseph Julian Two of the children of my Brother Julian of Hose the sume of Twenty Shillings apeice to be paid within six months after my sd Daughters decease
And Allsoe I give to my Brother Joseph Hilton of Stathern in the sd County of Leicester Framework knitter the like sume of Twenty Shillings to be paid allsoe within six months next after my sd Daughters Decease
And Allsoe all the rest of the sd overplus money (if any be) I give & Bequeath to be Equeally divided amongst my sd Brothers Thomas Doubleday & John Doubleday and my Brother Henry Doubleday of Sewstern in the sd County of Leicester Blacksmith their Exors Adtors & assigns Share & Share alike
And also I Doe desire my sd Two Brothers Thomas & John to take care of the bringing up of my sd Daughter And doe hereby also Enable them to apply such part of the overplus money as aforesd as shall be needfull towards my sd Daughters maintenance & Education during her minority And also to deduct to themselves out of the sd overplus money all such Charges as they shall happen to be put unto by reason of their acting pursuant to this my last will & Testamt
And lastly I Doe hereby make ordain constitute & appoint my sd Two Brothers Thomas Doubleday & John Doubleday Joynt Executors of this my sd Last will & Testamt hereby revokeing all former wills & Testaments whatsoever by me att any time heretofore made
In Wittness whereof I the sd Dorothy Hilton have to this my sd Last will & Testamt Sett my hand & Seal this Twenty Sixth day July in the year of our Lord 1713
