Robert James of Hickling 1654 Will

In the name of god Amen I Robert James Junior of Hicklin in the County of Nottingham Chapman doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following
First I give and bequeath my Soule into the hands of Almightie god and my bodie to be buried in the parish Church yard of Hicklin aforesaid
As for my personall estate as followeth First I give and bequeath unto my loving wife all my land in Hicklin or else where during her naturall life and after the decease of my wife Katherine James All the land in Hickling houses buildings backsides gardens easements and all thappurtenances thereunto belonging unto Robert James by Sonne
Alsoe I give to my daughter Susannah Twentie pounds at the age of twentie and one yeares to be paid by my Executor and one brasse pott at the decease of my wife her mother
Item I give to my daughter Mercie sixteene pounds at the age of twentie and one to be paid by my Executor
Alsoe my Sonne Robert to give to his sister Mercy one yeare after he cometh to his land foure pounds of good and lawfull money of England
Alsoe I give my Sonne John twentie shillings and a brass potte
And all the rest of my goods I give to my wife and do make ordaine her my full and lawfull Executor to performe all these my legacies as above expressed
Dated this one and twentieth day of Aprill one thousand six hundred fiftie foure

This will was proved at Westminster the two and twentieth day of November in the yeare of our Lord god according to the Computacon of the Church of England one Thousand Six hundred fiftie foure Before the Judges for probate of Wills and granting Administracons lawfully authorised By the oath of Katherine James Relict and Sole Executrix of the said deceased in the Same Will named To whom was Committed Administracon of all and singuler the goods chattells and debts of the said deceased She being first sworne truly to Administer the same
