In the name of god amen the yeare of our Lord 1570 that I Alexander Gervis of Eton Sicke in Bodye but perfite of memorie doe make this my last will as folowethe
First I comit my sole into the mercifull tuition of almightie god & to his sonne Jesus Christe my only savour and redemer & my bodye to be buried in the church yeard of Eton
First I geve to the chathedrall church of Lincoln iid
I geve to the poore mens boxe of Eton iid
It I geve to Kathern Gervis my dowghter xvis viiid
I geve to Elin my wiffe dowghter a yewe
Furthermore I will that Elizabethe my wiffe Shall bringe up my ii childeren & have there parts untill suche time as they come to lawfull age
The rest of all my goods moveable & unmoveable unbequethed my detts paid & legaces performed I geve to Elizabethe my wiffe & to Thomas my sonne whom I doe make my full executors of this my last will & testament
