This is the last Will and Testament of me Catherine Johnson of Hose in the County of Leicester, Widow as follows
First I direct all my just Debts funeral and testamentary Expences to be fully paid
And further I give and bequeath to my Son William Marriott of Hose aforesaid his Executors and Administrators all my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever of which I shall die possessed
And lastly I do appoint my said Son William Marriott sole Executor and Administrator of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this nineteenth day of October One thousand eight hundred and forty-seven

Signed, sealed, published and delivered by the said Testatrix Catherine Johnson of Hose as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other our Hands as Witnesses of the due execution thereof

William Marriott of the Parish of Hose in the County of Leicester … … the sole Executor in this Will named was duly sworn to the truth & faithful performance thereof as usual & that the goods chatels & credits of the deceased do not amount to in value to the sum of fifty pounds & that the deceased died on the 17 day of December last past
