In the Name of god Amen the sevententh Day of June Anno dom 1720 In the sixt year of the Reign of King George I Robertt Johnson of Chadwell in the County of Leicester yeoman Being sick in Body But of good and perfect memory thanks be to Almighty god and calling to Remembrance the uncertain estate of this transitory Life and that all flesh must yield unto Death when it doth please god to call it being appointed for all men once to Die I therefore Do make and declare this my Last will And testament in manner and form following
First being penitent and sorry for all my sins most humbly Desiring forgiveness for the same I Commend my Soul unto Almighty God my saviour and Redeemer in whom by whose merits I trust and believe assuredly to be saved and to have full Remision and forgiveness of all my sins and to Inherit the Kingdom of heaven and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named
And for the settling of my temporal Estate and such goods Chattels and Debts as it hath pleased god to bestow upon me I Do order give and dispose the same In manner and form following
Imprimis I give to my son Thomas Goodwin one shilling
Itam I give unto my Daughter Dorothy five pounds and one Chest one Chear & one pewter dish & two Candlestick
And I hereby make and appoint my Loveing son Joseph Johnson full and sole executor of this my Last will and Testament Hereby Revoaking Disannulling and making void all formar wills and Bequests by mee made and Declaring this only to be my last will and Testament
