In the Name of God Amen April 6 1769 I Robart Julian of Hose in the County of Leicester Being Very Sick and Weak in Body but of Perfect Mind and Memory thanks be Given Unto God Therefore Calling unto Mind the Mortality of my body and Knowing that it is Appointed for all men Once to Die And do make and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament In manner and Form Following
First I Give to my Son in Law Frans Godfrey One shilling
My Son In law Richard Gregg I make my Sole Executor of This my Last will and Testament and with him I Order Elizabeth my Dearly beloved Wife to Have a Comfortable Mentenance Decent Clothing and Lodging with the said Richard Gregg During Her Natural Life But if in Case they cannot agree to Live together The aforesaid Richard Gregg Shall pay to Eliz my Wife the Sum of Ten pounds of Lawfull money of England and she to have One Bedsted one wool bed And all other things thereunto Belonging The Said Bed
And Considering all the Rest and Residue of my Effects Bills Bonds &c of what Kind Soever I Give to the Before Named Richard Gregg Whom I make my full and Sole Executor of this my Last will and Testament as aforesaid and Revoking and making Void all other Wills by me Howsoever made
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal The Day and Year above written
The Mark of Robert Julian [he actually signed it]
Signed Sealed Published Pronounced and Declared By the Same Robert Julian as his Last will and Testament In the Presence of Us
