In the name of God Amen the 27: day of February 1715/6 according to the Computation of the Church of England I Thomas Line of Caudwell In the Parish of Roathley and in the County of Lecester yeoman Being of perfect memory and remembrance praised be God doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in maner and form following viz
First I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker hopeing that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and redeemer to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sinns and as for my body to be buryed in Christian burriall at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter nominated
Item: I give unto my Brother George Line the sum of one shilling
Item I give unto my Brother Joseph Line the sum of one shilling
Item: I give unto Will: Spreckley the sum of Tenn pounds to be left in the hands of my daughter Elizabeth Shelton for her to dispose of the same tenn pounds for the use of the said Will: Spreckley as she shall think most fit and Convenient
Item I give unto Will Shelton a Little black filley called by the name of Beauty
Item all the rest of my goods and Chattles both quick and dead I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Shelton whome I make my Sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament revoking all other wills and Testaments
