This is the last Will and Testament of me William Lovitt of Long Clawson, in the County of Leicester, farmer
I give to my brother, Thomas Lovitt an annuity or yearly sum of Five Pounds
I also give to each of my sisters Ann Lovitt and Sarah Mann, an annuity of Five pounds to be paid to them half-yearly during their respective lives: the first payment to be made the first Lady Day or Michaelmas that shall happen after my decease And I charge the said annuities on my estate at Long Clawson
I give to all the children of my brothers and sisters as shall be living at my death Ten Pounds each
I give to my housekeeper, Mary Felsted, the sum of Nineteen Pounds nineteen shillings
I give to my relations, William Lovitt, labourer, and Mary Lovitt of Redmile in the County of Leicester, Thomas Stokes of Long Clawson aforesaid, and Mary Harby daughter of Lucy Harby Widow, the sum of Ten pounds each. I direct these said legacies to be paid out of my personal property at the expiration of twelve months from my death
I give and devise all the Messuages, Closes, Land and real estate of which I shall died possessed, situate in the parish of Long Clawson aforesaid unto my nephew Richard Lovitt, of Redmile, aforesaid his heirs and assigns for ever
I also will that the aforesaid annuities shall be paid into each of my sisters own hands that their respective Receipts only shall be good discharges for the same and that they or their husbands shall have no power to sell or anticipate the said respective annuities, and on either of them attempting to do so, the same shall cease
I give and bequeath all my money, securities for money, household furniture and all other my personal estate and effects to my said nephew, Richard Lovitt, subject to his paying the above legacies, my debts, funeral and testamentary expences
And I appoint my said nephew Richard Lovitt sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament
In witness whereof I the said William Lovitt the testator have hereunto set my hand this twenty third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five

Richard Lovitt of the Parish of Redmile in the County of Leicester Farmer the sole Executor in this will named was duly sworn to the truth & faithful performance thereof as usual & that the goods chattels & credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the sum of four hundred & fifty pounds & that the deceased died on the twelfth day of December last past
