Mann Mary of Hickling Nottinghamshire for Effects within the Archdeaconry of Leicester
Extracted from the Registry of the Exchequer Court of York
This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Mann of Hickling in the County of Nottingham Widow
I give and bequeath all my farming Stock hay and implements of husbandry unto my Nephews John Bonser and Thomas Bonser and to my Nephew John Daykin to divided as follows John and Thomas Bonser to have one half equally between them and John Daykin to have the other half
I give and bequeath unto my trustees and executors John Bonser and John Daykin the Sum of fifty pounds to be paid by them by the said John and Thomas Bonser out of their share of the Stock which said 50£ is to be applied for the benefit of William Bonser my Nephew in the same manner as I shall direct as to the Sum of one hundred pounds hereinafter bequeathed to them
I direct my Executors to invest the Sum of one hundred pounds in addition to the said Sum of fifty pounds on some real or government Security and apply the Interest thereof to my nephew William Bonser during his life to be paid into his own hands and not to be sold or anticipated after the death of William Bonser the Interest to be applied for the benefit of his wife Sarah during her life and after her decease for the benefit of my Niece Elizabeth Daft during her life and after her decease divide the principal Sum of 150£ equally amongst the Child of Children of the said Elizabeth Daft and if she leaves no Children the said principal Sum of 150£ to be paid to Thomas Bonser his executors or administrators
I direct my said Executors and Trustees to invest the Sum of 200£ (duty free) on real or government Security and apply the Interest thereof for the benefit of my Sister Ann Cross during her life and after her decease divide the said principal Sum of two hundred pounds equally amongst her Children then living
I direct my said Executors and trustees John Bonser and John Daykin to invest the further Sum of two hundred pounds duty free on real or government Security and to apply the Interest thereof for the benefit of my Sister Elizabeth Brett during her life and after her decease divide the said principal Sum of 200£ equally amongst her Children then living
I give and bequeath the following Legacies to be paid within twelve months after my decease by my Executors (viz)
To William Skinner my Servant one hundred pounds and the bed he lies on
To my Niece Ann Cross one hundred pounds
To the said John Daykin four hundred pounds
To the said John Bonser one hundred and fifty pounds
To the said Thomas Bonser one hundred and fifty pounds
I also give and bequeath unto my great niece Harriet Cross the Sum of fifty pounds to be paid to her without Interest in the mean time on her attaining the age of twenty one years
Subject to the payment of my debts, legacies (except 50£ in addition to the said Sum of one hundred and fifty pounds) funeral and testamentary expences I give and bequeath all my household Goods Money Securities for Money and all other my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto my said Nephews John Bonser of Kinoulton and John Daykin of Upper Broughton to be equally divided between them and I appoint the said John Bonser and John Daykin joint Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills be me made
As Witness my hand and seal this twenty first day of January 1830

This Will was proved at York the first day of February in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty four before the Reverend Robert White Almond Clerk Master of Arts Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Granville Harcourt Vernon Master of Arts Commissary of the Exchequer Court of York lawfully constituted by the Oaths of John Bonser and John Daykin the Nephew the joint Executors therein named to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said Mary Mann deceased they having been first sworn duly to administer

Let a Probate be made to John Bonser of Kinoulton in the County of Nottingham Farmer and John Daykin of Broughton Sulney in the same County Farmer the joint Executors named in the Will of the deceased who died 7 September 1833
They having been first duly sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the Will as that the Testatrixes Goods Chattels and Credits lying within the Archdeaconry of Leicester without deducting any debts due ad owing by her therefrom do not amount in Value to the Sum of one hundred Pounds
