William Marriott of Hose 1803 Will

In the name of God Amen This is the last Will and Testament of me William Marriot of Hose in the County of Leicester Husbandman
First I give and bequeath to my Grand daughter Isabella Marriott the sum of ten pounds and I direct that the same shall be paid to her mother within six months after my decease for my said Grand daughters use and I will that her mother’s receipt shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executor for the payment thereof
Also I give to my Grandsons Paul Redish and Stephen Redish the sum of one Guinea each
Also I give and bequeath to my Grand daughter Ann Redish and my Grandson James Redish the sum of twenty pounds apiece and my mind and will is that if either or both of my said Grand children should die before they attain to their respective ages of twenty one years and leave no lawful Issue then I will that the Legacy or Legacies of him and her so dying shall lapse and sink into my personal Estate for the benefit of my Residuary Legatee Elizabeth Redish hereinafter mentioned
And I direct that my Executor hereinafter named shall place the Legacies hereinbefore given to my two last mentioned Grandchildren out at Interest upon good securities and shall receive the Interest thereof for their respective benefit till such time as they attain their respective ages of twenty one years
Also I give and bequeath to my said Grand daughter Ann Redish half my linen my least chest my oaken box two feather pillows and a feather bolster to be delivered to her immediately after my decease
Also I give to my Nephew John Burnett the sum of five pounds as a small recompense for the trouble he shall have in the Execution of this my Will and for his kindness to me
And all the residue and remainder of my Goods Chattels Cattle ready Money securities for Money and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath to my Grand daughter Elizabeth Redish (subject nevertheless to the payment of all the Legacies hereinbefore by me give also all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences)
And I do hereby make constitute and appoint my said Nephew John Burnett sole Executor in Trust of this my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I the said William Marriott the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this twenty eighth Day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two

Let probat be granted to John Burnet, the Sole Executor within named, he being sworn to the due Execution of the will & made oath that the whole personal Estate of the Testator at the Time of his did not amount in value to Two hundred pounds
