William Marriott of Scalford 1832 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Marriott of Scalford in the County of Leicester Gentleman as follows
First I direct all my just debts funeral and Testamentary expences to be fully paid And I hereby expressly subject and charge all my Real Estate hereinafter devised to my only Son Gregory Marriott with the just and true payment thereof
I Give and Devise unto my affectionate Wife Ann Marriott and her assigns for and during the Term of her natural life All that my new erected Messuage or Tenement Garden and hereditaments situate in Scalford aforesaid in my own occupation And after her decease Then I Give and Devise the same unto my said Son Gregory Marriott his heirs and assigns for ever
I Also Give Devise and bequeath unto my said Wife and her assigns during the Term of her natural life One Annuity or clear yearly Sum of Fifty Pounds of lawful English money clear of all deductions which I will shall be paid by four equal payments in the year the first payment of which amounting to the sum of Twelve pounds and Ten shillings I will shall be paid to her at the end of one Month after my decease And I give to my said Wife the same power of enforcing payment thereof as Landlords have for obtaining payment of Rent in arrear And I subject and charge all my Real Estate herein after devised to my said Son with the true payment thereof
I Give and bequeath All my Household Goods and Furniture and Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever of which I shall die possessed unto my said Wife Ann Marriott for her own use absolutely
I Give and Devise All other my Messuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements hereditaments and Real Estate whatsoever situate in Scalford aforesaid or elsewhere with their Appurtenances (subject expressly to the payment of my just debts the said Annuity funeral and Testamentary expences) unto my said Son Gregory Marriott his heirs and assigns for ever
And do appoint him Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby Revoking all former Wills by me made
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty Third day of October one thousand eight hundred and Thirty

Let a probate be made to Gregory Marriott of Scalford in the County of Leicester Farmer & Grazier the sole Executor named in the Will of the deceased who died 1 October 1831
He being first duly sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the Will as that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Testator without deducting any debts due and owing by him therefrom do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds
