In the name of God Amen I Nicholas Moore of Abkettelbie in the County of Leicester widdowman being sicke in body but of perfect minde & Memorie doe Ordaine this to be my last Will & Tesstament Revockeing all former wills
First I bequeath my soule to Allmyty God whoe gave it mee trusteing to be saved by the alone Merrits of Jesus Christ & my body to buried at the disscretion of my executrix & as for my Temporall esstate in manner & forme as followeth
It I give & bequeath to my Sonne Bryan Moore the sume of forty pounds to be paide by my executrix when hee comes to the age of One & Twentie yeares & if it shall please god that the saide Bryan Moore shall departe this life before the said age then my will is the said forty pounds shall be to the use & behoofe of the Children of my Sonne John Moore
It I give & bequeath to my Sonne Bryan Moore the sume of Twentie pounds to be paide by my executrix when hee comes to the age of one & Twentie yeares & if it shall please god the said Bryan Moore shall departe this life before the said age then my will is that the saide Twentie pounds shall be equelly devided amongest the Children of my twoe sisters & and my sisster Darothy
I give to Dorothy Oggton ten shillings
I give Anne Pagge one sett of Cuttaines
I give to my sonne Bryan Moore Twoe Bedsteades & beding to One of them five paire of flaxen sheets a dozen of Napkins fower paire of pillow Covers two potts & a pan & warmeing pan three brasse Candelstockes twoe puter Candellstickes fower puter dishes one Truncke one Chest one square Table a puter Chamber potte twoe best Leather Chaires Twoe puter porringers a puter tankeard Memorand the Bedinge belonging to the bed aforesaid is one feather bed a feather bolster fower feather pillows twoe blankets and Koverlidde a mattrisse a sett of Curtaines foure Chaires covered with greene stufe one joynd Chaire of his fathers
And unto my sister Dorothy Harteley one shillinge
And I doe here constitute ordane & macke my sonne John Moore full sole executrix of this my last will & Tesstament in witness hereof I have unto put to my hand & seale the seaventh day of June Annoq domini 1696
