This is the last Will and Testament of me James Orson of Old Dalby otherwise Dalby on the Wolds in the county of Leicester Farmer
I give and devise all my Messuage Farm House Closes Lands and Real Estate of which I shall die possessed situate at Old Dalby otherwise Dalby on the Wolds aforesaid or elsewhere unto my only Son William Orson his heirs and assigns for ever
I give and bequeath all my Household Furniture Farming stock Money and Securities for money and all other my personal estate and effects unto my said son he paying thereout my debts funeral and testamentary expences
And I appoint my said son sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament Provided and I do hereby direct that in case I shall die leaving my said son a Minor that his Uncle William Cross of Upper Broughton Nottinghamshire Farmer shall be my Executor and Guardian to my Son during his Minority only
Witness my hand this second day of December one thousand eight hundred and fifty six

Signed published and declared by the said James Orson the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

Proved at Leicester the sixteenth day of April 1867 by the oath of William Orson Son of the deceased the sole Executor to whom Administration was granted the said William Orson having attained the age of twenty one years in the life time of the deceased
The Testator James Orson was late of Old Dalby otherwise Dalby on the Wolds in the County of Leicester Farmer and died on the eleventh day of February 1867 at Old Dalby otherwise Dalby on the Wolds aforesaid.
