This is the last Will and Testament of me William Pickard of Wartnaby in the County of Leicester Carpenter
As a Provision for my Wife Hannah Pickard I give to her for her life the House and Garden with the Appurtenances in Wartnaby aforesaid in the occupation of George Allen and Joseph Pickard also an Annuity of Ten Pounds to commence from my death and be paid to her quarterly and also the Fruit of the Greencroft Orchard
Subject to the above provision for my wife I give devise and bequeath all my Real and Personal Estate and Effects unto my only Son William Pickard his Heirs and Assigns for ever And I appoint my said Son sole Executor of this my Will
In Witness whereof I the said William Pickard the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this eighth day of November One thousand eight hundred and thirty six

19th February 1840 let a Probate be made to William Pickard of Wartnaby within the Peculiar and Exempt Jurisdiction of the Manor of Rothley in the County of Leicester Carpenter the sole Executor named in the Will of the deceased
He having been first duly sworn as well to the faithful execution of the Will as that the Testators Goods Chattels and Credits without deducting any thing on account of debts due and owing from the deceased are under the value of two hundred pounds and that the deceased died on the 28th day of September last
