In the Name of God I John Scarborrow of Harby In the County of Leicester being weak of body but of Perfect mind & Memory Praised be Almighty god Therefore do make & ordain this my Last will and Testament in manner & Form following that is to [“say” missing]
First of all I Give and bequeath my Soule into the Hands of God that gave it hoping thro’ the death & passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour to be joyfully Recd at my Resurrection & my body to be decently Buried by my Executor Hereafter Mentioned
And as for my Temporal and worldly Estates Cattle & Chattles & Personal Estate whatsoever I Give & Dispose of in the Following manner
First of all I Give & bequeath to my Son John Five Pounds to be paid by my Executor one year after my Deceas
Likewise I Give to my daughter Ann Seven Pounds Ten Shillings to be Paid Twelve months after my Deceas by my Executor as also I Give to my said Daughter Ann my Great ovel table & her Mothers Box
My debts my Legaices my funeral Expences being first duly Paid then my House & all the Rest of my Goods Cattles Chattles & Personal Estates whatsoever I Give & bequeath to Elizabeth my Loving wife making & ordaining her my full Sole & only Executrix of this my Last will & testament
In Witness whereof the testator hath set his hand & Seal this Fifth day of April 1763
