In the name of god Amen I William Simson alias Thomasman of Broughton in the County of Leicester yeoman being sick of body but of good and perfect memory the lord be praised do make this my last will and testament the sixteenth day of December in the yeare of our lord 1651 in manner and forme following that is to say
First I bequeath my soule to almighty god who gave it mee and to my saviour Jesus Christ by whose passion I trust to have forgivenes of all my sins and eternall life and my body to the earth from whence it Came to be buried in decent buriall and as for temporall goods and possessions I give and bestow them as followeth and first I make void all former wills whatsoever
Imprimis I give to my sonn William Thirty pounds to be paid within three years next after my decease
It I give to my sonn Thomas fifteene pounde the one halfe to be paid when he sets up for himself and the other halfe within foure years next after my decease
It I give to my daughter Alice in money tenn pounds and in houshold goods Tenn pounds worth to be paid when shee shall Com to the age two and twenty
It I give to my daughter Joane Faukes three pounds to be paid within one yeare next after my decease
It I give to my daughter Elizabeth Lee in mony three shillings foure pence to be paid within one yeare after my decease
It I give to my daughter Darithy Tailer three shillings foure pence to be paid within one yeare after my decease
It I give to the poore five shillings to bee distributed by the overseers and my Executors
And as for all my other goods unbequeathed my funerall discharged and my debts paid I give to me Wife and to my sonne Richard whom I do make my whole and sole Executors to see this my will performed
