William Spick of Ab Kettleby 1696 Will and Inventory

In the name of god Amen
I William Spick of Ab Kettleby in the county of Leicester yeoman being of perfect memory (praise be given to god for the same) do make & ordaine this my last will & testament in manner & form following, hereby revoaking all former wills by mee made
Imprimis I commend my soul to almighty god my gracious creator, hopeing that thro his mercy & the merits of my lord & Saviour Jesus Christ I shall bee saved
And of my wordly [sic] estate I dispose as followes
First I give & bequeath to my brother Thomas Spicke five shillings
It I do give & bequeath to Alice Gibson the sume of fourscore pounds to bee paid to her by my executor hereafter named when shee shall come to the Age of one & twenty years
It my will is that shee shall have paid her the summe of four pound per annum … two equall payments as in trust of that foresaid summe of 80 li yearly the first payment to take place att or before the first of the two usuall feasts of St Michael the Archangell or the Annuntiation of the Blessed Virgin Mary which shall first happen after my decease & I do appoint my brother John Spick of … & Henry Keen of Dalby on the Woulds trustees for the said Mony’s that the said Mony’s shall continue in the said John Spicks hands till the child shall come to the Age of one & twenty hee obliging himself his heire Executor or Assignes to Henry Keen aforesaid for the due payment of the summe & sum’s aforesaid but if the child shall dye before Shee come to the Age of one & twenty year’s then the said summe of fourscore pounds to cease & determine & become void
It I do give & bequeath to my brother John Spick all the rest of my goods & cattell & chattells unbequeathed my debts & funerall charges being first discharged & do hereby appoint & constitute him the Sole Executor of this my last will & Testatment
