In the Name of God Amen I Henry Spreckley of Eaton in the county of Leicester yeoman Crazy in Body, but of Sound and perfect Memory (Thanks be to God) Do Make and Ordain this My present last will & Testament in Manner and form following (viz)
First and principally I commend my soul into the hands of almighty God hopeing through the Merits Death and Passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins and to Inherit Everlasting Life
And my Body I Commit to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of Mary my well beloved wife & my Sole Executrix
And as touching all such temporall Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow Upon me I Give and Dispose thereof as followeth
Impris I will that my funeral charges shall be paid and discharged
Item I give to my Nephew Robert Otter the sum of one Shilling
Item I give to the children of my Nephew Robert Otter and to all the Children which his Sisters have the Sum of Sixteen pounds to be Devided Equally Amongst the foresd Children Ten pounds thereof being in the hands of John Healy of Newbal and due to me Upon Bond (My will is that my Nephew aforesd att my decease have the sd bond and Receive the sd Sum of Ten pounds, but in case Nott Recoverable my will is that My Executrix be not Sue’d Disturbed or Molested for the foresd Ten pounds, And the other Six to be paid to the foresd Children att the Decease of my wellbeloved wife and Executrix
Item I give to the Children of my Brother Edward Wellbourn and to all the Children of Each of his wife’s sisters the Sum of four pounds to be Equally Devided amongst the foresd Children and the foresd Sum of four pounds to be paid att the Decease of my Executrix
Item I Give to the children of my Cousen Nicholas Mason Twenty shillings Each which makes the Sum of five pounds which Sum I desire to be paid att the Decease of my Executrix
Item I give to the two Children of my Cousen Edward Clark Twenty Shillings Each which makes the Sum of Two pounds which Sum to be paid att the Decease of my Executrix
Item I give to my Niece Katherine Otter the Sum of Three pounds to be paid att the Decease of my Executrix
Item I Give to my Cousen Jane Bealy (widd) to widow Ward; to widow Judd; To widow Richisson; To widow Cooke all living in the Town of Eaton (aforesd) the Sum of Twelve Shillings and Six pence to be Equally Devided amongst them & to be paid them att my Decease
All the rest & Residue of my Personal Estate Goods & Chattels whatsoever I do give and bequeath to My Loving wife Mary Spreckley, full and Sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament for and Dureing her life; and att her Decease, one halfe thereof to devided and given to my Nephew Robert Otter & his Sisters Equally alike And the other halfe to be att My Loving Wife’s disposal as she shall think fit
And I do hereby revoke disanull & make void all former wills and Testaments by me heretofore Make
