In the name of God Amen
This is the last Will and Testament of Joseph Swain of Hickling in the parish of Hickling and County of Nottingham Miller
First I do hereby order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expences shall be fully paid [water damage two words]
And subject thereto I do appoint my wife Ann Swain sole Executrix of this my last will in case she shall [about three words water damage] hood And at her demise I do order and appoint my sons Thomas and William Swain Sole Executors of this my last will aforesaid They paying at the expiration of one year and a day [about two words water damage] time they shall be Executors the following legacies [about three words water damage, probably to my son] John Swain of Aslockton and Parish of Whatton and County aforesaid the sum of fifteen pounds of good and lawful money of this Realm: and to my Daughter Sarah Waldram the sum of five pounds: And to my Daughter Ann Brown the sum of one shilling, And to my son George Swain the sum of Ten pounds And to my Grand Daughter Mary Brown the sum of three pounds to be paid when she attains the Age of Twenty one years and if she die before that period to be retained by the Executors before named
And do hereby Revoke all former Wills by me made [about one word water damage] whereof I have to this by last will and testament set my Hand and Seal this Twenty third Day of December in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Eighty Six
