This is the last Will and Testament of me Ambrose Whaley of Goadby Marwood in the County of Leicester Cottager

In the first place I will that all my just Debts and Funeral Expences be paid and discharged by my Executrixes herein after mentioned

I give and bequeath unto my Son William Whaley of Rempston in the County of Nottingham one Pounds

I also give and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Watchorn of Plungar in the County of Leicester five Pounds

Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Edith Tidd of Pickwell in the County of Leicester one Pound

All the rest residue and remainder of my Moneys, Goods, Chattels, Effects, Household Furniture, wearing Apparel, &c whatsoever, and wheresoever, I give unto my Daughter Elisabeth Stokes, of Goadby Marwood aforesaid, and to her Daughter Elisabeth Stokes, whom I also nominate and appoint the joint Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have set my Hand and Seal, this ninth Day of March, in the Year of our Lord, one Thousand eight Hundred and twenty four

Let a probat be granted to Elizabeth Stokes the elder & Elizabeth Stokes the younger of Goadby Marwood in the County of Leicester joint Executors named in the Will of Ambrose Whaley who died at Goadby Marwood on 20th of May 1824

They the said Elizabeth Stokes the elder and Elizabeth Stokes the younger being duly sworn as well to the faithful execution of the will as that the Testator’s Goods, Chattels & Credits as they were at his death, without deducting any Debt owing by him therefrom did not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds
