Please note: Family pages are organised by surname; however, this does not mean that all those people featured are related to each other. Where possible we will try to be clear about any connections there may be.
There are no surviving Whitaker/Whittaker graves in the churchyard and no records under these names in the parish registers (to 1900).

Calling all Whittakers
I know there are lots of descendents of William Whittaker (Whitacre) (1805-1889) in and around Long Clawson and some of you great, great, great, great plus grandchildren must be interested in family history.
William was born and died in Nether Broughton and had a sister Elizabeth (1802 – 21st November 1886). Elizabeth never married but left nearly £212 in her will which was proved in Leicester on 13th December 1886 by her brother William Whittaker Gentleman of Nether Broughton.
So if you are interested in Great Great Great Great Great plus Aunt Elizabeth, do contact me and I will explain all.
