This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Whittle late of Scalford in the County of Leicester but now of Melton Mowbray in the said County Yeoman made this 18th day of October 1810
First I direct that all my just Debts and funeral Expences be paid and discharged by my Executrix hereinafter named
I give and devise all and every my Messuages or Tenements with the Orchards Gardens Yards Buildings and all other the Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate in Scalford aforesaid unto my Wife Mary Whittle for and during the term of her natural life in case she continues my Widow and from and after her decease or in case she should marry again after my decease then or in either of the said events I give and devise the same unto my four Daughters Sarah Elizabeth Amy and Ann Whittle their Heirs and Assigns to be equally divided between them share and share alike to take as tenants in common and not as joint tenants
I also give and bequeath unto my said four Daughters one guinea each to be paid them by my said Executrix immediately after my decease
And as to the remainder of my ready money Effects and all other my personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same to my said Wife Mary Whittle whom I do hereby appoint sole Executrix of this my last Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made

Let probat be granted to Mary Whittle of Scalford widow sole executrix of the above written Will she being sworn to the due Execution of it, & made Oath that the whole personal Estate of the Testator at the time of his Death did not amount to the sum of Three hundred pounds
