This is the last Will and Testament of me William Wilford of Stathern in the County of Leicester Yeoman
In the first place I give to my Son Edward Wilford of Wartonby [sic, should be Wartnaby] in the County of Leicester Farmer and Grazier all my Freehold and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever subject nevertheless to the Legacies specified herein & paying all my just Debts, funeral expences, and proving this my Will
In the next place I give and bequeath to my four sons and daughter, viz, John, Francis, Thomas, Andrew and Sarah, the sum of seventy pounds each to be paid by my executor hereinafter named within six months after my decease
I also give to my Daughter Sarah all the linen of what description soever In the best Chamber, my best bed, with every thing belonging thereto, also the Carpets, five Chairs, a looking glass, a deal Chest & dressing Table – In the Kitchen Chamber a Bed with every thing belonging thereto – In the Parlour a Buffet, Chest of Drawers, and the Glasses, tea equipage, and tea trays, half a dozen Chairs and Screen table – In the House Dining Table, Clock stand table, corner Cupboard and toasting stand – Kitchen, seven best knives & forks, Tea kettle, two dozen white plates, pair of dishes, two eight Gallon barrels, linen reel and wheel
Finally I do appoint Edward Wilford of Wartonby in the County of Leicester my Eldest Son sole Executor to this my last Will and Testament
In witness whereof I the said William Wilford the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one

Signed sealed published and declared by the said William Wilford the Testator as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other

Let a Probate be granted to Edward Wilford of Wartnaby in the County of Leicester Farmer and Grazier the Sole Executor named in the Will of the within named William Wilford who died in the December last
He having been duly sworn as well to the faithful execution of the Will as that the Testator’s Goods Chattles and Credits as they were at his [“death” or “decease” missing] without deducting any thing on account of Debts due and owing therefrom are under the value of One hundred Pounds
